The President of the United States made a new claim against Iran in a post on his Truth Social account. Donald Trump wrote that Iran is using artificial intelligence technology, along with some American media outlets, to create and publish fake images and videos showing successful military attacks against U.S. forces.
Trump specifically referred to reports claiming that the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier had been attacked or that U.S. refueling planes had been shot down. He said these reports are completely false and created by artificial intelligence, and emphasized that all of this equipment is safe and still in service.
In the same post, Trump also accused mainstream media of “betrayal” and supported the decision by the head of the Federal Communications Commission to review the possibility of revoking the licenses of some of these media outlets.
