Nadia Afshar, a 28-year-old woman of Turkish descent who has been living in Istanbul for four years, is one of the popular faces of the Turkish fashion competition “İşte Benim Stilim.” Originally Turkish and born in Iran, she has provided a unique and inspiring experience of the world of fashion and style through her participation in this competition. Nadia talks about how she followed the show and her lifelong interest in style and fashion, stating that participating in this competition reignited her passion for pursuing her dreams in fashion.
The “İşte Benim Stilim” competition is based on fashion and style and does not require professional expertise. Rather, confidence and the ability to choose appropriate daily styles and various concepts are essential. Participants must design different styled outfits each week, which may include going to a café, gallery, or restaurant. The program is reviewed weekly by several judges, and the participant who presents the best style fitting the weekly theme advances to the next stages.
Nadia points out her challenges, saying that some traditional Iranian families do not have a positive view of artistic and fashion fields, which led her to distance herself from this path for a while. However, this competition revived her motivation to return to the world of fashion. She says she wants to build her personal brand after the competition and, if possible, produce a similar program in Iran, as many of her audience love this type of content.
Nadia’s collaboration with Alara Entertainment has been a key strength in her journey. Alara trusted her from the beginning and never imposed any financial or styling advice but provided warm and ethical support that boosted Nadia’s self-confidence. Nadia deeply appreciates this companionship and support from Alara Chapters and says that these supports strengthened her to endure the hardships and fatigue of the path.
In Nadia’s words, her deep interest in Iranian culture and art is evident. She likes to show traditional Iranian elements in her style, such as making a bag from an Iranian carpet or wearing an Iranian vest in the competition. This has caught the judges’ attention and made her shine distinctly.
Nadia sees style as more than just clothing; she considers it a combination of lifestyle, artistic perspective, and daily choices that must come from within a person. She believes that having a broad perspective and artistic vision is even more important than academic education, and advises young people to stick to what they truly want without worrying about others’ opinions.

Another important point Nadia emphasizes is persistence and continuity in achieving goals. She says, for example, if someone wants to lose weight, gradual reduction such as cutting 200 calories daily is much more effective than sudden and short-term efforts. Ultimately, Nadia believes maintaining one’s true identity in virtual space and social media without losing oneself is very important.
In conclusion, she thanks all the people who supported her and says love and kindness should always be kept in the heart, as they are the most valuable things in life.
Nadia’s experience in the “İşte Benim Stilim” competition is an example of effort, perseverance, and passion for art that, with the right support, can lead to great success. Alara Chapters, as Nadia’s companion and supporter, continues this path with her and is committed to sharing inspiring stories in the world of fashion and style.
